Hello. My name is Brenda and I am new to blogging. I like to sell stuff on Ebay. I got started by listing the beautiful solar lighthouses my husband makes. Here is a picture of one of them:

Getting Started on Ebay.

For anyone just joining Ebay who wants to buy or sell, I would highly recommend getting a PayPal account. PayPal is the preferred payment method for most Ebay buyers and sellers and it’s a fast and convenient way to make and accept payments online. It’s also free to sign up. Of course after you get your PayPal account you will want to join Ebay as a member which is also free to sign up. Click here for eBay!

Once you have your payment method lined out and your Ebay account ready, then you need to learn how to search for the items you want. It’s best to put as much information in the search box as possible so that the exact item you want is more likely to show up. For instance, if I am looking for a new pair of jeans, I don’t just type in women’s jeans. I would type in NWT Women’s Jeans Size 14 Relaxed fit Wrangler Brand. That way I don’t get all kinds of results for jeans that I am not really interested in.

When I find the item I want, I would put in my bid and wait to see if I win, or look for a Buy it Now option so that I can buy them and pay for them right away. Of course, having my PayPal account ready makes that pretty easy to do, especially if the seller accepts PayPal (and most of them do). I just click on “Buy it Now” and then “Pay Now” , and I am taken to my PayPal log-in page where I can pay for the item then and there. In a couple of days, whalla! I have my new jeans.

If you want to sell stuff on Ebay, then you are set. All you have to do is take good pictures of the items you want to sell and store them in your “My Pictures” file on your computer. Then, log in to your Ebay account, click the button at the top where it says “Sell” and follow the directions from there. It’s easy. Before you know it, you will have listed your first item for sale. Lots of fun, and profitable too!

If you have a lot of items you want to sell, you should get an Ebay Store. It is much cheaper to list items in a store than in auction format. However, you do have to promote your own store for now. Ebay is working on a way to integrate store items into regular Ebay search results and I am sure they will succeed in the near future, which will mean a big boom in sales for store owners, so now is the best time to get in on the ground floor with a stores opportunity.
